Local admission ceremonies planned
The list of those who passed the July bar exam has been posted by the State Board of Law Examiners and is printed on page 4 of this edition of the Oakland County Legal News. The list is also available on the Board’s website, www.courts.michigan.gov/administration/committees-boards/board-of-law-examiners.
Virtual admission ceremonies have been planned and include the following:
• The Oakland County Bar Association will host the fall 2021 New Lawyers Admissions Ceremony with the Oakland County Circuit Court for the July bar passers on Friday, November 12, from 10 a.m. to noon. This event will be held virtually and will consist of a short program led by Oakland County Probate Court Chief Judge Kathleen Ryan and numerous other circuit and district court judges. To register for the online ceremony, visit www.ocba.org and click on “events.”
• The Macomb County Bar Association will conduct its new lawyer admission ceremony on Wednesday, November 10, at 4 p.m. at the Macomb County Courthouse 3rd floor courtroom of Chief Judge James Biernat Jr., 40 N. Main in Mt. Clemens. Participants are asked to check in by 3:30 p.m. To register, contact Rick Troy at RTroy@macombbar.org or 586-321-4565.
• The Detroit Bar Association and the Third Circuit Court have partnered to conduct a virtual Admissions Ceremony on Monday, November 22, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Introductions by Chief Judge Timothy Kenny and other visiting judges. An online reception will follow the swearing-in ceremony. To register for the online ceremony by the November 19 deadline, visit www.detroitlawyer.org/admissions-ceremony.
