The Association of Legal Administrators Metropolitan Detroit Chapter will host its Holiday Cocktail Party on Thursday, December 2, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Pinky's Rooftop, 100 S Main St. in Royal Oak,
During the party, the ALA will be giving away two scholarships to the 2022 ALA National Conference taking place May 15 to 18, 2022, at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida.
The party will also help the ALA with its continued support of Elli's House 313, a non-profit organization focused on helping young girls and women of Detroit who have run away from home or have fallen victim to human trafficking. Elli's House 313 is involved with the reunification of families, caring support, education, outreach and also provides snacks and meals during street outreach and has a residential program for those without housing. Elli's House is frequently in need of flip flops and leggings for the girls.
ALA will be collecting flip flops of all sizes and colors as well as leggings in size medium or large. Donations may also be dropped off to Jamie Dean at Dickinson Wright.
