Plunkett Cooney will present the webinar “Mandate—Understanding and Implementing the New Federal COVID-19 Vaccination Rules” on Monday, November 22, from11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
As announced by President Joe Biden in September, vaccine mandates are becoming a reality for private sector employers having 100 or more employees and for providers of services under Medicaid and Medicare. MI-OSHA is required to implement mandates at least as protective within 30 days of OSHA’s rule which will also apply to units of government in Michigan.
Under the terms of recently announced rules by the Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), vaccine mandates must be fully implemented by employers by Jan. 4, 2022. The mandate is currently on hold as the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals reviews challenges.
During this webinar, Plunkett Cooney’s Employment Law Practice Group members Laura M. Dinon and Claudia D. Orr will provide information needed to understand the mandates, exemptions employees may request, requirements for the unvaccinated and other details necessary to implement the mandates and to keep an organization from running afoul with federal regulators.
This webinar is designed to benefit employers with 100 or more employees as well as Medicare and Medicaid service providers and their insurance providers.
