Dawn Ison (right) was sworn in as the new U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan on Tuesday, December 21, by U.S. District Court Chief Judge Denise Page Hood (left) at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in downtown Detroit. Ison, the first Black woman to hold the position, is a longtime assistant U.S. attorney in Detroit.
