Webinar looks into 457 and 403(b) plans compliance

The American Bar Association will present a webinar on "What's New? 457 and 403(b) Plans Compliance" Tuesday, January 25, beginning at 1 p.m.

Are Code section 403(b) and 457 plans becoming more like 401(k) plans? Are these changes better for retirement savers? In the last several years, retirement plans under Code sections 403(b) and 457 have undergone several legislative and regulatory changes.

This webinar will review the basic characteristics of these plans and modifications that have recently been made to them. In addition, the panelists will review concerns and challenges in the administration of these plans. Finally, the panelists will discuss the implications of these changes on retirement savers. Anyone who currently works with 403(b) and/or 457 plans or is interested in learning more will benefit from this discussion.

This online program is sponsored by the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel along with the ABA's Joint Committee On Employee Benefits, Business Law Section, Health Law Section, Section of Labor and Employment Law, Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law, Section of Taxation, and Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.

Cost for the webinar is $175 for non-members, $150 for ABA members, and $125 for section members. To register for the webinar, visit www.americanbar.org and click on "events."
