The Friend of the Court Bureau (FOCB) and the Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI) will present the webinar "Interaction of Immigration and Family Law: Session II " on Thursday, April 28, from 9 to 10 a.m. via Zoom.
Building from the overview from Session I, this session will focus on the ways in which issues of immigration law and status interact with family law. In particular, this session will examine ways in which interactions with family service and child protection systems create both opportunities and dangers for immigrant families and will identify principles for approaching the complex interaction of family and immigration law.

Speaking at the webinar will be Professor David B. Thronson, Alan S. Zekelman Professor of International Human Rights Law and director of the Talsky Center for Human Rights of Women and Children, Michigan State University College of Law; and Professor Veronica T. Thronson, clinical professor of law and director of the immigration law clinic, Michigan State University College of Law.
