The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association will present “Not Just Being ‘Woke’: A Practical Primer on Pronouns” on Thursday, June 16, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the OCBA offices, 1760 South Telegraph Road, Suite 100, in Bloomfield Hills.
This seminar will explore various updates in pronoun usage from within the court, the classroom and communities. • Techniques for addressing these topics with colleagues and clients
Speaking at the seminar will be Amanda J. Shelton, Shelton & Deon Law Group; Annie Schuver, University of Michigan Law School; Reginald Stewart, University of Michigan Law School; and moderator Kristina A. Bilowus, Michigan State University College of Law.
Cost to attend the program is $35 for OCBA members; $25 for OCBA DEI Committee members; $25 for OCBA new lawyers, paralegals, and students; and $45 for non-members.
