The Michigan State Bar Foundation (MSBF) has released a special report to commemorate its 75th anniversary.
Since its establishment, MSBF has been committed to providing leadership and improving access to the civil justice system. The Foundation has made more than 2,300 grants totaling more than $255 million and recognizes 1,497 active fellows for their professional excellence and service to the community. The Fellows also provide important financial support for Foundation activities and grants.
The Special Edition Report highlights monumental events, partnerships, and award recipients over the past 75 years, and provides information about some of the Foundation’s current efforts to expand access to justice and improve the civil justice system.
“This report celebrates and highlights some of the accomplishments of the Foundation over the past 75 years,” said MSBF’s Executive Director Jennifer Bentley. “The Foundation’s staff is honored to work with so many supporters, grantees, partners, and leaders in the legal community who are dedicated to improving the civil justice system.”

The Foundation will hold its 75th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, September 15, at the Detroit Athletic Club.
The event will highlight the Foundation’s history and impact on the legal community, according to MSBF officials. Among the scheduled speakers will be Edward Pappas, president of the MSBF and an attorney at Dickinson Wright; U.S. District Court Judge Victoria Roberts, chair of the MSBF Fellows; and Marilyn Kelly, former chief justice of the Michigan Supreme Court.
