Speakers discuss creation of in-house pro bono programs

The Association of Corporate Counsel-Michigan Chapter (ACC-MI) will present “Pro Bono: Making A Difference - Creating or Enhancing Your In-House Programs” sponsored by Miller Canfield on Wednesday, October 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Detroit PAL, 1680 Michigan Ave. in Detroit.

There are numerous pro bono opportunities suited to in-house counsel’s skills and attributes but finding the right fit for a department takes time and expertise. This program will look at how to put together an effective structure for administering a successful pro bono program, focusing on how to find fulfilling and manageable matters, and establish essential partnerships with legal service providers.
Speaking at the program will be:

• Wendolyn Wrosch Richards who heads the pro bono program at Miller Canfield.

• Jennifer Lawson who is a program manager at the DTE Energy Foundation, the philanthropic arm of DTE Energy.

• Kim Ray who chairs the pro bono committee at Ford Motor Company.

• Jill K. Soubel (moderator) who currently serves as senior corporate counsel-Global Mobility & Immigration for KLA Corporation.

The program is free to ACC-MI members and non-members. To register, visit www.acc.com/chapters-networks/chapters/michigan.
