The Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will host the Edward H. Rakow Luncheon with the Barbara J. Rom Award and Historical Society Presentation beginning at noon on Wednesday, November 16, at the Atheneum Hotel, 1000 Brush Street in Detroit.
The Court Historical Society speaker this year is WSU Professor Peter Hammer who is also the director of the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at the Wayne State University Law School. The program will also largely feature the presentation of the Barbara J. Rom Award for Bankruptcy Excellence. The chapter established this award in 2012 to honor individuals who, like Rom, have exhibited the highest level of overall excellence in the practice of bankruptcy law.
