The Women's Bar Association, Oakland County region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, will kick off the season of giving as it hosts a "Fundraiser to Support Empty Bowls Detroit" on Wednesday, November 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Baldwin Public Library Donor Room in Birmingham.
Empty Bowls Detroit's mission is to raise funds and awareness for hunger in metro Detroit-"ending hunger one bowl at a time."
Participants at the event will use their creative energy to paint a bowl. All bowls will be glazed/finished and sold at the Empty Bowls fundraiser in Eastern Market in March. Proceeds from the Empty Bowls event will benefit the food program at Cass Community Social Services. Refreshments will be provided.
Cost to attend the event is $30 for WBA members and $40 for non-members. Space is limited. To register, visit https://womenlawyers.org and click on "events."
