Birmingham Public Schools (BPS) is hosting a Veterans Day brunch on Thursday, November 10, to celebrate and honor local veterans along with those currently serving in the military.
Members of the Seaholm High School choir will perform, and high school student volunteers will assist with the event and welcome guests. Elementary and middle school students are making centerpieces, placemats and cards for the tables.
“We want our local veterans to know how much we appreciate their dedication and sacrifices made for our country. It’s an honor to help recognize those who have served and continue to serve, including members of our own BPS staff,” said Superintendent Dr. Embekka Roberson. “We’ve hosted similar events in years past and I’m thrilled to continue this great tradition of coming together to celebrate our veterans.”
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, at the BPS Education and Administration Center, 31301 Evergreen Road in Beverly Hills.
