As part of its Dykema Drives Auto Webinars series, Dykema will present "Cybersecurity" on Wednesday, March 29, from 1 to 2 p.m.
As manufacturers continue to integrate digital capabilities and autonomous software, concerns over data privacy will grow, as evidenced by numerous respondents who view hijacking sensors and AI as major cybersecurity threats.
Vehicles increasingly record and transmit personal information, and although the intended purpose is to help drivers and fleet operators, the same data in the wrong hands can lead to a breach under state law or permit stalking and hazards to persons and property.
This program will review the top cybersecurity risks impacting the auto industry, including best practices for risk mitigation.
Speaking will be Dykema's Dante Stella, member, Detroit; and Cindy Motley, member, Chicago.
Stella is an experienced litigator, a senior member of Dykema's data security and privacy group, and head of the discovery management and e-discovery team.
