The Michigan Judicial Institute and Friend of the Court Bureau will present a webinar on “Secondary Traumatic Stress” Thursday, April 27, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. via Zoom.
Being exposed to the trauma that child support families have faced, or are facing, may take an emotional toll on workers that compromises our personal and professional quality of life.
Awareness of secondary trauma’s effects protects the health of the child support worker and ensures that Michigan’s families consistently receive the best possible care from those who are committed to helping them.
Speaking at the program will be Dr. Kelsey Sala-Hamrick, senior research scientist with the Center for Strategic Health Partnerships – Michigan Public Health Institute.
To register for the webinar, visit https://mjieducation.mi.gov and scroll down to “events.” Once registration is approved by MJI, attendees will receive a confirmation e-mail from Zoom with a personal link to join the webinar.
