The Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Michigan will host its 14th Annual Summit from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 24, at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The event is open to all members of the State Bar of Michigan.
The Young Lawyers Summit will offer a unique opportunity to connect with fellow legal professionals with a full slate of educational seminars, informational programming, social networking events, and a vendor expo.
The Summit will feature Michigan Supreme Court Justice Kyra Harris Bolden, SBM President James Heath, and many other speakers. Throughout the day, attendees can take advantage of the free professional headshots being offered and the lounge/social area to relax and network.
Some of the topics to be covered during the Summit include:

• “Mastering Mediation: Empowering Young Lawyers with Best Practices” – sponsored by the ADR Section, with Michael S. Lieb, Lieb ADR LLC; Nakisha Chaney, Salvatore,

• ”Federal Court Fumbles and Wins: A Playbook for Success in the Hallowed Halls” – sponsored by the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan.

The Summit will conclude with the Reception and Awards Ceremony at LCA’s Biergarten.
Prior to the Summit on Saturday, June 24, a welcome reception will be hosted Friday, June 23, at Comerica Park followed by a Tigers game (Detroit Tigers vs. Minnesota Twins). The reception will be held at the Tigers Club located at Comerica Park. The ticket for Friday’s event is $35 for those who have registered for Summit, it includes both the reception and the ticket to the game.
