'Return to In-Person Boot Camp' conducted October 11 at courthouse

The Oakland County Bar Association's Circuit Court Committee will present "Return to In-Person Boot Camp" on Wednesday, October 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oakland County Courthouse, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Court Room 5A, in Pontiac.

This hands-on seminar will take place in a real courtroom focusing on appropriate etiquette/decorum, oral argument presentations, and best practices from check in to entry of order. Attendance from associate attorneys is highly encouraged.

Participants will spend a half day at the Oakland County Circuit Court learning from Business Court Judge Victoria Valentine and three attorneys: Kari L. Melkonian, Collins Einhorn Farrell PC; Dani K. Liblang, The Liblang Law Firm PC; and Brian V. Boehne, Kitch Attorneys & Counselors PC.

Attendees are also encouraged to attend the optional in-person motion call starting at 8:30 a.m. in Judge Valentine's courtroom to observe experienced attorneys in practice.

Cost to pre-register for the class is $35 for OCBA members; $25 for OCBA Circuit Court Committee members; $25 for OCBA new lawyers, paralegals, and students; and $45 for non-members.
