Man found guilty in Roseville bar shooting

On Tuesday, October 24, a Macomb County jury convicted 27 year old Michael Altman-Tucker of murder after a nine-day jury trial by Assistant Prosecutors Carmen DeFranco and Andrea Irons.

On Saturday, February 26, 2022, while Altman-Tucker was being removed from Dooley’s Bar in Roseville by security staff, Altman-Tucker shot and killed security staff member Julius Bing. A friend of Altman-Tucker was also struck with a stray bullet.

A Macomb County jury found Altman-Tucker guilty of Murder in the Second Degree (life felony), Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm (10 year felony), and two counts of Felony Firearm (two year mandatory felony).  Sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, at 8:30 a.m. in front of Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Toia.

“Thank you to the jury for taking the time and careful consideration in delivering a guilty verdict.  We hope that this verdict will help the victim’s family gain closure,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
