The deadline for the 2023-2024 Michigan law license renewal process is fast approaching. Payment must be received or postmarked by the post office by Thursday, November 30, to avoid a $50 late fee.
Attorneys can renew their law license by logging in at michbar.org/MemberArea?and clicking “Renew Your License Now” at the bottom. For additional information about license renewal, see the FAQ at www.michbar.org/licenserenewalfaq.
As a reminder, this year’s license renewal includes new requirements for private practice attorneys to ensure compliance with Rule 21: Mandatory Interim Administrator Planning, which requires private practice attorneys to make an interim administrator plan and name a person with knowledge of their practice. Private practice attorneys should review these requirements at?michbar.org/Rule21?prior to beginning their license renewal.
Anyone with questions about fees, require assistance with the website or payment process may email SBMfinance@michbar.org.
