'Role of the Interpreter in Legal Proceedings' explored

The Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI) and Friend of the Court Bureau (FOCB) will present the "The Role of the Interpreter in Legal Proceedings" online Thursday, November 30, from 9 to 10 a.m. via Zoom.
This session will cover background information about the foreign language interpreter credentialing process and the statutory requirements around appointing an interpreter. The presentation will also cover additional resources available when an interpreter is necessary.
Speaking at the webinar will be Robin Clear, program coordinator for the Court Reporting and Recording Board, State Court Administrative Office, Field Services Division; and Shayla Fletcher, management analyst, State Court Administrative Office, Field Services Division.
