Roscommon County man sentenced 40 years' incarceration on 8 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct

On Tuesday, Troy Holder, 46, of Gerrish Township, was sentenced to a minimum of 40 years’ and one month’s incarceration in the 34th Circuit Court for four counts First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct (CSC) and four counts Second-Degree CSC, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. A jury found Holder guilty of all counts in October.

Holder sexually assaulted a family member.

"This arrest and conviction put an end to years of sexual abuse, and this very lengthy sentence will protect the safety of a family and community for decades to come,” said Nessel.

The investigation and charging decisions in this case were conducted by the Roscommon County Prosecutor’s Office. The Department of Attorney General managed the prosecution at their request.
