Gruel Mills Nims & Pylman partner inducted into American College of Trial Lawyers
Norman H. Pylman, partner with Gruel Mills Nims & Pylman LLP, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based law firm representing individuals in personal injury law, consumer and commercial litigation, and medical malpractice, was inducted as a Fellow into the American College of Trial Lawyers, during the College's National Annual Meeting, held in Boston, Massachusetts.
Fellowship within the American College of Trial Lawyers is extended only by invitation, after careful investigation of potential candidates. It is granted to experienced trial lawyers, who have been engaged in trial work for a minimum of 15 years, and who have ''mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality.''
In other news from the firm, William F. Mills, Norman H. Pylman, Scott R. Melton, and Thomas R. Behm were named Michigan ''Super Lawyers'' by Super Lawyers magazine. The magazine names attorneys in each state who received the highest total points in more than 70 practice areas, as chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law & Politics, a publication of Key Professional Media, Inc. These attorneys have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
William F. Mills, Norman H. Pylman, and Thomas R. Behm were also recognized by the American Trial Lawyers Association as the ''Top 100 Trial Lawyers.'' Membership within the organization is obtained through special invitation and is extended only to those attorneys who exemplify superior qualifications, leadership, reputation, influence, stature, and profile as trial lawyers, both civil plaintiff and criminal defense.
William F. Mills, Norman H. Pylman, and Thomas R. Behm were ranked by their peers as leaders in their fields in the 2010 Best Lawyers in America. William F. Mills was named the Best Lawyers' 2010 Grand Rapids Personal Injury Litigator of the Year. The current, 16th edition of The Best Lawyers in America (2010), is based on more than 2.8 million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers. Best Lawyers is one of the oldest, and most respected peer-review publications, in the legal profession.
