The Oakland County Bar Association's Employment Law Committee will present "Social Media: Opportunities OR Potential Legal Pitfalls?" on Monday, Feb. 22, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills.
Social media is exploding. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and blogging allow attorneys and their clients to reach their potential audience instantly. However, do the legal risks of these great new avenues of communication outweigh their benefits? Attendees will learn how to maneuver around the legal minefields in the fastest-growing social media platforms.
Presenters for the program are Adam S. Forman and Kathryn L. Ossian of Miller, Canfield, Paddock, & Stone PLC
The fee for members is $45 for those who pre-register or $60 at the door. The fee for non-members is $60 for those who pre-register or $75 at the door. Lunch will be provided to those who register by Thursday, Feb. 18. Register online at www.ocba.org. For additional information, call (248) 334-3400.
