'Private Practice' actress-- Divorce settlement calls for coin flip

by Correy Stephenson
The Daily Record Newswire
Actress Kate Walsh and her husband of 14 months, Alex Young, finalized their divorce last week but left one thing to chance, agreeing to flip a coin for their community furniture and artwork.
Walsh, who appears on ABC's Private Practice, will keep ownership of a home, piano and various bank accounts, while Young, a studio executive, will receive a payment of $627,000 and one-half of the residuals for all work performed by Walsh during the marriage.
But the rest of their property?
"One half of the community property furniture and artwork to be divided by alternating picks after the flip of a coin to determine who will pick first," according to the settlement agreement.
However, as first reported by EOnline in the article, "Kate Walsh Reaches Flippin' Settlement With Ex," Walsh gets to keep Young's selections if he doesn't pick them up within 10 days.
