The law firm of Miller Canceled will host an "Electronic Health Records Seminar" on Tuesday, March 9, from 7 to 8 a.m. at the Miller Canfield Troy office (840 W. Long Lake Rd., Ste 200) and Wednesday, March 10, from 7 to 8:15 a.m. at the Miller Canfield Ann Arbor office (101 N. Main St., 7th floor).
The firm's health law attorneys, principal Joe Gustavus and associate Rose Willis, as well as principal counsel at the University of California and Miller Canfield alumna, Rachel Nosowsky, will present the update about the latest laws and regulations affecting selecting and contracting health information technology systems.
The seminar will include information and insight on:

--Assuring compliance with applicable health laws and regulations.
--Qualifying for EHR system adoption financial incentives.
--Avoiding penalties for failure to adopt an EHR system.
--Planning for future interoperability needs and transitions to successor EHR systems.
A continental breakfast will be provided and due to limited space, advance reservations are required. Register by Friday, March 5, at millercanfield.com/events or to Sandy Bera at (248) 267-3345 or bera@millercanfield.com.
