State pharmacist group honors Mike Simpson for health policy work
Rep. Mike Simpson (D-Jackson) was posthumously honored with the Michigan Pharmacists Association Pharmacy Political Action Council (PAC) Good Public Health Policy Award at the association's Annual Convention, Feb. 26-28, at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.
The Good Public Health Policy Award is presented by Pharmacy PAC to legislators who have served or are currently serving on a committee with a direct impact on health policy for the citizens of Michigan.
Rep. Simpson was recognized for his support of pharmacy legislation, willingness to work with the association and to evaluate, support and promote legislation based upon the merit and positive impact it will have for Michigan's citizens.
Rep. Simpson was a member of the House Health Policy Committee.
