Bankruptcy is major growth area according to practitioners

by Correy Stephenson
The Daily Record Newswire
According to a recent survey, practitioners expect that bankruptcy will be the biggest area of growth for the next three months.
Developed by staffing service company Robert Half Legal, the survey was conducted by an independent research firm which asked 300 lawyers in Canada and the United States with at least three years of experience in the legal field:
"In your opinion, which one of the following areas of law will experience the most growth in the next three months?"
Bankruptcy received the most votes, with 32 percent, followed by litigation (22 percent), labor and employment (10 percent), intellectual property (6 percent), ethics and corporate governance (5 percent), environmental law (3 percent), general business/commercial law (2 percent) and health care (1 percent).
Six percent of respondents chose "other," while 13 percent declined to answer.
