Citizen's Alliance offers Probate Court seminar in Farmington Hills

The Citizen's Alliance of the Oakland County Probate and Circuit Courts will conduct a free seminar for senior citizens and their families on Tuesday, March 23, from 9:30 a.m. at the City of Farmington Hills Senior Division. Titled "Removing the Mysteries of Probate Court," the seminar will provide attendees with information on the advantages and disadvantages of avoiding probate, when and how to use a will, trust and/or Power of Attorney, how to begin probate proceedings, and when to consider use of guardianships and conservatorships. Panelists will include Oakland County Probate Register Jill Koney Daly; JPMorgan Chase Bank Senior Fiduciary Officer Teresa Sullivan; and private practice attorney Thomas Trainer with the law firm of Kemp Klein. Materials will be available on trusts, estates, and the legal rights of senior citizens. Adequate time will be available for questions.
