Cooley publication wins top award

A Cooley Law School publication, the Benchmark Column, has won a top advertising award and will advance to the next round in the prestigious competition.
The September 2009 edition of Cooley's Benchmark Column won a gold ADDY Award in the publication design category at an event held Feb. 27 at the Temple Club in Old Town, Lansing, Mich. The victory advances the publication, which was designed by Image Creative Group, of Mason, Mich., to district level.
Terry Carella, director of communications at Cooley, said, ''Cooley Law School is very proud that Image Creative Group has been publicly recognized and awarded for their truly exceptional work and excellent creative materials. Winning an ADDY Award speaks volumes to the level of their professional and creative eye. We have always appreciated the outstanding work that Image Creative does on our behalf, but we also recognize that it reflects highly on the professional image of Cooley Law School.''
Jennifer Rossiter, owner of Image Creative, noted, ''It's easy to do great design when you work with a great team. All the players in Cooley's Benchmark Column publication contribute exceptional work -- from the photographers, writers and proof readers, to the printer and everyone in between -- it's an honor to win awards and an even greater honor to be working with everyone involved.''
The overall competition, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, is the nation's largest advertising competition. The local ad club, the Mid-Michigan Creative Alliance, sponsored the Feb. 27 event and presented Image Creative Group with the award for the publication.
