New officers to be sworn in for local ALA chapter

The Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), Metropolitan Detroit Chapter, will conduct its 2010 Installation of Officers on Thursday, April 15, beginning at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at the Somerset Inn, 2601 W. Big Beaver in Troy.
Wendy Rice-Isaacs, past president of ALA, will swear in the new officers. She will also speak on the topic of "Styles of Communication." Rice-Isaacs is regional administrative director for the Akron and Cleveland, Ohio, offices of Vorys, Sater, Seymour, and Pease LLP and she is affiliated with ALA's Cleveland Chapter. She has been a legal administrator and active ALA member since 1992.
Rice-Isaacs was ALA president from 2008-2009 and was a member of the Annual Conference Committee (serving ALA 2007 Annual Conference chair). In addition, she has held numerous positions for ALA Region 3 including director, communications officer and regional nominating committee member. She has also been an ALA chapter awards judge and has co-authored an article for the ALA Management Encyclopedia.
