Workshop to provide answers to seniors about 'Elder Law & Medicaid'

The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library will host the "Elder Law and Medicaid: What Does a Senior Citizen Need to Know?" workshop on Tuesday, April 20, from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Attorney Dustin Foster, assistant professor of law at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, will speak on Elder Law and Medicaid in Michigan. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain information and ask questions about eligibility for Medicaid, its application process, what Medicaid pays for, long-term care, and other areas of interest to senior citizens. This workshop is the fourth in a series of five public lectures on legal topics that will be presented in the first half of 2010. The lecture series, called The People's Law College, invites members of the public to attend and learn about legal issues. The People's Law College is sponsored by the Public Services Committee of the Oakland County BarAssociation. The workshop is open to the public. There is a $5.00 registration fee. The public is encouraged to register in advance with the Oakland County Bar Association. To register, call (248) 334-3400. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
