Deadline is April 30 for bar association law scholarship applications
The application deadline is Friday, April 30 for the Jackson County Bar Association's $2,000 scholarship given annually to a student who is currently enrolled in law school or who has been accepted by an acccredited law school.
The scholarship will be presented at the JCBA's annual meeting in June.
The bar association established the scholarhip award in 1997 "to promote greater access to the legal system and to better serve the legal needs of Jackson County," a spokesperson said.
The award provides financial assistance to law or p[re-law students who are Jackson County residents and who possess the necessary academic achievement, career objectives, commuity involvement, and college or law school activities.
