Michigan Association for Justice hosts 65th Annual Convention
The Michigan Association for Justice will conduct its 65th Annual Convention, Banquet, and Rapid Fire Seminar Friday and Saturday, May 7-8, at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn.
The "Annual Rapid Fire Seminar-New Ways to Succeed" takes place Friday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Co-moderators MAJ President Richard Warsh and MAJ Vice President Michael Behm have once again assembled a cast of effective and influential members of the trial bar. The Rapid-Fire Seminar features a silent auction with proceeds benefiting MAJ's amicus efforts. Take a look at some of the items available to bid on at MAJ's website: www.michiganjustice.org.
The 2010 election of MAJ Officers and the Executive Board will be conducted at MAJ's Annual Business Meeting on Friday, May 7, following the Rapid Fire Seminar.
The Annual Banquet will be hosted Saturday, May 8, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
MAJ is honored to welcome special guest U.S. Senator "The Real Funniest Senator from Minnesota" Amy Klobuchar as the keynote speaker. Klobuchar was the keynote at the 2009 Washington Press Club Foundation Dinner and is known for her quick wit and political humor.
During the evening the association will thank MAJ President Richard Warsh for his leadership and dedication to the cause of justice and welcome President-Elect Barry Gates who ascends to the MAJ presidency on July 1.
The Champion of Justice Awards will be presented to Governor Jennifer Granholm and MAJ Past-President and Justice PAC Chair Barry J. Goodman at the banquet
Granholm, Michigan's first female governor and attorney general, has been named a 2010 Champion of Justice award winner for her tireless efforts on behalf of civil justice in Michigan.
Goodman has been named a 2010 MAJ Champion of Justice award winner in honor of his dedication to championing pro-justice policy and political action.
