Firm partners with companies to host Green Real Estate Conference

Warner Norcross & Judd LLP is partnering with financial, construction and consulting companies to host a Green Real Estate Conference on Wednesday, June 9.
The seminar will focus on financing, developing, building, leasing and insuring green building projects. Construction and real estate attorneys from Warner Norcross will join representatives from Comerica Bank, URS Corp. and FirstMetrix Corp. for the morning seminar, which runs from 7:30 a.m. to noon at The Westin Southfield Detroit, 1500 Town Center in Southfield.
Speakers will include:
* John Byl, Warner Norcross, on LEED legislation and other financial incentives.
* Scott Beckerman, Comerica, on financing green projects.
* Ashley Arvin, URS, and Janet Mann, FirstMetrix, on performance contracting.
* Melissa Collar, Warner Norcross, on green design and construction contracts.
* Meg Van Meter, LEED Accredited Professional, Warner Norcross, on green leases..
* Chris Predko and David Whitfield, Warner Norcross, on managing risks associated with green building.
* Jason Byrne, Warner Norcross, on insurance issues.
