Land Bank update from the desk of Eric Schertzing, Ingham Co. Treasurer
We had a great April. The marketing blitz, combined with the tax credit, helped us move 4 of the 6 homes we targeted. Great buys and great interest rates are still around after the tax credit! Check out www.inghamlandbank.org for featured properties.
Commercial property activity is heating up. At Monday's Land Bank Board meeting an offer to purchase was considered.
With final approval of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program II grant funding we hired our first staff person. The Land Bank, City of Lansing and Michigan State Housing Development Authority are working in partnership for invest $17,300,000 over the next 3 years in Lansing Neighborhoods.
The Land Bank will be adding additional construction management and maintenance staff soon. Resumes can be directed to us at 422 Adams Street, Lansing, MI 48906.
