Tappan's Raymond receives Teacher of Year award from American Lawyers group

The American Lawyers Auxiliary has announced two Teacher of the Year (TOY) winners from Michigan.
Wendy Raymond, Tappan Middle School in Ann Arbor, was honored along with Patricia Mattlin of List Elementary School in Frankenmuth.
Raymond was instrumental in establishing an after-school law exploration activity program for Tappan students that features local judges, lawyers, police and others who talk to students about different aspects of the law.
Judge Timothy Connors has been very much involved and supportive of the Tappan law program.
They will be presented with their awards the first week in August at the annual ALA/ABA convention in San Francisco, each receiving a $1,500 award.
