Presidents' Reception to honor Carter, Hartsfield
The Wolverine Bar Association, the Wolverine Bar Foundation, and the Association of Black Judges of Michigan will host their 2010 Presidents' Reception on Friday, June 25, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Coach Insignia, located at 200 Renaissance Center (on the 72nd Floor) in Detroit.
An annual gathering attended by lawyers, judges, and friends in the legal and business community, the 2010 Presidents' Reception celebrates the accomplishments of two of Michigan's oldest and most distinguished legal organizations for African-American practitioners and jurists. This year's reception will honor Michelle A. Carter for her service as president of the Wolverine Bar Association and the Wolverine Bar Foundation. It will also recognize Wayne Third Judicial Circuit Judge Judy A. Hartsfield, Family Division, for her work as president of the Association of Black Judges of Michigan.
Tickets are $35 per person or $325 for groups of 10. Reservations are requested on or before Friday, June 18. For additional information or to register, contact the WBA Office at (313) 962-0250 or wbaoffice@ameritech.net; or Brandy Y. Robinson at (313) 598-9325 or byrobinson@gmail.com.
