South Higgins Lake State Park in Roscommon County will host a Classic Car and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, June 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the park's day use area. Dash plaques are available for the first 70 registered vehicles, and door prizes will be given away throughout the day. People's Choice Awards will be presented to the top 15 cars, along with an award for Best in Show and the first and second place motorcycles. Trophies will be presented around 2 p.m., with a cruise around Higgins Lake at 3 p.m. to close the show. Registration forms are available at the park, or you can download the form from the South Higgins State Park website at www.michigan.gov/southhiggins. Pre-registration is $12, or $15 for registering on the day of the event. All proceeds will be used to support events at South Higgins Lake State Park. If you don't have a classic car or motorcycle, just come out and spend a day in the park or on the beach and check out the classic cars and motorcycles. The South Higgins Lake State Park store will be open, serving up their delicious ice cream with many souvenirs available.
