Nancy Petoskey planning June soldier mailing
Nancy Petoskey in Court Services, is planning a mid-June mailing of boxes to overseas troops.
"From now to June 16, we will be accepting items and/or money for our troop boxes," she said.
"Our packing date is June 17, and our mailing date is set for either June 18 or 19. This will get the boxes to them before the Fourth of July holiday.
"Shipping is now $12.50 per box so money donations also are helpful. It will be well over 100 degrees fahrenheit there when these boxes go out so think hot weather items.
"Also, think red, white and blue for the Fourth of July holiday.
"We have more Girl Scout Cookies coming and I hope to have toothpaste to put in the boxes. If you know someone or a business that may have some items to give, check with them. You would be surprised on how willing they are to help.
"If you have any friends or family that will be serving overseas around this time, please give me their name and address so they can receive one or two of our boxes.
"Please pass this email around to friends and family. If you have any questions, please call (222-3001 and ask for me), stop in to see me at Court Service or drop me an email.
"Thanks for your help."
