Work begins on M-43 near Williamston

Highway: M-43 (Grand River Avenue)

Start Date: Monday, July 12, 2010
End Date: End of August 2010
Project: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will oversee a project to resurface 3 miles of M-43 between Meridian Road and Zimmer Road, along with adding wider, paved shoulders on either side of M-43 for nonmotorized use.
All work is expected to be complete by the end of August.
Traffic Restrictions: During construction, one lane will be maintained during daylight hours under flag control. Where work is taking place, the maximum length of the closure will be 1.5 miles long.
Access to all intersecting streets and driveways will be maintained at all times during construction.
MDOT says: Construction work zones need your undivided attention.
