Attorneys Title Agency enters into letter of intent to acquire Greco Title Co.

Farmington Hills-based Attorneys Title Agency (ATA), a full-service title company providing comprehensive services throughout the state of Michigan, announced last week that it has entered into a Letter of Intent with Mt. Clemens-based Philip F. Greco Title Company to acquire its current operations. ATA President William Robinson and Philip F. Greco Title Company President Philip E. Greco made the announcement.
The Letter of Intent, which was signed on July 15, 2010, will grow the ATA network to 25 office locations and more than 450 employees. Through the agreement, ATA will experience significant business opportunities throughout metropolitan Detroit. By joining forces with ATA, the largest title insurance provider in the state of Michigan, Greco Title will have access to the company's robust foreclosure and REO clientele, as well as significant administrative efficiencies.
The projected closing date of the acquisition is third quarter 2010.
