News (AP) - Kilpatrick deposed again in stripper case

DETROIT (AP) -- Ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick spent more than four hours taking questions from a lawyer for the family of a slain stripper. Attorney Norman Yatooma says he isn't satisfied and will ask a judge to allow the deposition to resume on another date. Yatooma's suit says Kilpatrick stifled an investigation into Tamara Greene's fatal shooting in 2003. He denies it. Kilpatrick lawyer James Thomas says the ex-mayor made a "good-faith attempt" to answer questions Tuesday but at times invoked his right against self-incrimination. Kilpatrick's wife and father are expected to give depositions Thursday in Texas. Kilpatrick is under indictment on federal tax and fraud charges and is imprisoned for violating probation in a state case. Published: Thu, Aug 12, 2010
