Seminar to explore HIPAA compliance
Warner, Norcross, & Judd LLP along with Morlock-Noren LLC will present "A Workshop for Health Care Providers: Are You HIPAA Compliant?" on Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Westin Hotel in Southfield
Attendees will hear from practice management experts to learn:
--HIPAA's newest regulations and how to meet them.
--Practical and effective routes to HITECH dollars.
--A realistic approach to selecting and effectively implementing electronic health records.
Panelists include:
* Deborah Williamson, health care law attorney at Warner, Norcross, & Judd with expertise in HIPAA, Stark, and third party payor audits/appeals.
* Nathan Steed, attorney at Warner Norcross & Judd with expertise in federal health privacy compliance and technology law.
* Michele Morlock, RN and attorney with Morlock-Noren with expertise in the legal, business and clinical aspects of health care administration and operations.
* Melissa Noren, of Morlock-Noren with expertise in health care information technology.
