State commission to host utility consumer forums

LANSING (AP) -- The Michigan Public Service Commission will host seven utility consumer information and assistance forums throughout the state in September and October.
The PSC said in a recent statement the forums are designed to give consumers the latest information on electric and natural gas rates for the winter and the status of local and long distance telephone service.
One of the state agency's three commissioners will be available at each forum, which begin Sept. 20 in Southfield and conclude Oct. 28 in Flint.
Other stops include Detroit, Greenville, Kalamazoo, Sault Ste. Marie and Traverse City.
