Probate Court Training is set for Sept. 28

A seminar sponsored by the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law Section of the WCBA is upcoming.
Probate Court Training Update
To accept appointments and referrals in Probate Court, attorneys must attend training at least once every three years.
To be held Tuesday, September 28, 8:45 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Cooley Law School, 3475 Plymouth Rd., Ann Arbor.
Free parking and continental breakfast.
Session 1, General Probate, 8:45 a.m. to noon with registration and breakfast at 8:45 a.m.
Opening Remarks at 9 a.m.: Hon. Donald E. Shelton;
Overview of the Court: Probate Register Cynthia Bostwick;
Conservatorships and Guardianships for Adults and Minors: Attorney Connie Jones;
Guardians Ad Litem: Attorney Guy Conti;
Special Issues: Attorney Kim Winokur.
Session 2, Mental Health, 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Opening Remarks: Hon. Darlene A. O'Brien;
Role of Community Mental Health: WCHO Associate Director, Dr. Daniel Healy;
Mental Health Process and Procedure: Attorney Michelle Newman;
Developmentally Disabled Adults: Attorney Mary Schieve.
