Fraud prevention focus of MDTC teleconference
The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC) will present a Commercial Litigation Section Update teleconference on "Fraud Prevention and Investigation Issues: Responding to Workplace Embezzlement and Asset Aisappropriation--A Legal and Forensic Accounting Guide."
The teleconference will take place Thursday, Sept. 16, from noon to 1 p.m.
Edward Perdue of Dickinson Wright PLLC in Grand Rapids will moderate the program. Presenting will be Michael L. Volkov of Dickinson Wright PLLC in Washington, D.C., and Jeffrey Johnston, forensic accountant with AlixPartners in Southfield.
Members pay $35 and non-members pay $50 or $195 (includes 1 year membership in MDTC). There is also an office rate of $200 for multi or single office firms which permits unlimited listeners for lawyers in the same physical office.
