Students pass July bar exam, local admissions ceremonies planned
The list of those who passed the July bar exam has been posted by the State Board of Law Examiners and is available on the Board's website, http://courts.michigan.gov/supremecourt/BdofLawExaminers/index.htm.
Local admission ceremonies have been planned and include the following:
* The Oakland County admission ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 5, at 11:45 a.m. with judges sitting en banc and Oakland Count Circuit Court Chief Judge Nanci J. Grant presiding. All new admittees must check in at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony will be conducted at the Commissioners' Auditorium at the Oakland County Courthouse, 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac. Pre-registration is required and forms are available at www.ocba.org. Questions can be directed to Jan Anson at (248) 334-3400 or janson@ocba.
* The Macomb County admission ceremony is planned for Thursday, Oct. 28. The ceremony, sponsored by the Macomb County Bar Association, is scheduled for 4 p.m. in the third floor courtroom of Macomb County Circuit Court Chief Judge Mark Switalski. The courthouse is located at 40 N. Main in Mt. Clemens. Registration will begin at 3 p.m in the hallway outside Switalski's courtroom. * The Wayne County Third Circuit Court in partnership with the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association will conduct its mass admissions ceremony Friday, Oct. 29, at the 13th floor auditorium of the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center.
