The Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will conduct its annual Rakow Awards/Historical Society Luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 18, at 11:30 a.m. at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel.
The program will feature Ross Parker, author of the book "Carving Out the Rule of Law: The History of the United States Attorney's Office in Eastern Michigan 1815-2008."
In addition, the Federal Bar Foundation awards an annual scholarship to a student from each accredited Michigan law school who demonstrates outstanding scholarly achievement in either securities law, corporations or business law, as determined by the Dean of the law school.
Cost for the luncheon is $25 for FBA members and $30 for non-members. For ticket information, call Thomas M. Schehr at (313) 568-6659 or log on to www.fbamich.org.
