Wolverine Bar to feature local judges for panel discussion, Nov. 9

The Wolverine Bar Association will conduct its next general membership meeting and panel discussion "From One Judge to Another" on Tuesday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Detroit offices of Bodman LLP.

The November meeting, co-sponsored by the Association of Black Judges of Michigan, will recognize newly elected judges, congratulate the incumbent judiciary, and provide an opportunity for both judges and attorneys to learn from seasoned members of the bench.

Featured speakers include: Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Karen Fort Hood, Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Denise Langford Morris, and Wayne County 36th District Court Judge Cylenthia LaToye Miller.

The panel of experienced judges will discuss a host of topics of interest to both the bar and the judiciary, including: running a successful campaign; securing judicial appointments; navigating relationships with senior judges; running an efficient docket; establishing courtroom decorum; and interacting with practitioners.

Refreshments will be served at the meeting. The offices are located on the 5th Floor at Ford Field, 1901 St. Antoine Street. Enter at Gate G or use second floor connecting bridge.
