Federal Bar to host Employment Law Clinic
On Monday, Nov. 15, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. the Eastern District of Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association will host an employment law clinic and free attorney consultations for pro se litigants who have employment law cases pending in federal court. The program will be presented in Room 115 of the Theodore Levin Courthouse, 231 Lafayette Ave., in Detroit. All pro se litigants with pending employment law cases are invited to attend.
This program will be jointly presented by the FBA's Pro Bono and Employment Law Committees, with the generous assistance of the Distict Judges Pro Bono Committee, Clerk David Weaver's Office, lawyers from Dickinson Wright, Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer & Weiss, and Pitt, McGehee, Palmer, Rivers, & Golden; and students from Cooley Law School's Auburn Hills campus.
The program will include a presentation on the nuts and bolts of employment law cases, followed by free attorney consultations with the attending pro se litigants. The event is free of charge, and light refreshments will be served.
