Forum looks at 'Trial Court Strategies for Appellate Success'

The Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) will present an MAJ Plaintiff members-only evening forum on "Trial Court Strategies for Appellate Success" on Thursday, Jan. 20, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Baronette Renaissance Hotel in Novi. David R. Parker of Charfoos & Christensen in Detroit & Mark Bendure of Bendure & Thomas in Detroit will be the co-moderators. The forum intends to cover the essentials in making sure that the appropriate facts and legal issues are raised on the record and preserved for appellate review. Breakout sessions on Med Mal, No-Fault and Employment will deal with specific issues that arise in certain areas of law, with an overview to what issues are on the front burner before the new court. Attendees will choose from one of these breakout sessions: 1) Medical Malpractice - Judith Susskind, The Thurswell Law Firm, Southfield; 2) Auto No-Fault (1st and 3rd party) - Steven Hicks, Speaker Law Firm, Lansing; 3) Employment - Kathleen Bogas, Bingham Farms Cost for MAJ Plaintiff, regular, and Sustaining Members is $125, (prices include food and digital materials).
